On Saturday I went to the 'Crafting at Ally Pally' show. PaperArtsy was there as usual, but this time I was fortunate enough to do one of their 'Make & Takes'. We decorated a wooden plaque using Fresco Paints, PaperArtsy stamps and adhesive rub-ons with foil, all in about 35 minutes! Here is the finished product.
Last week, Lindsay Weirich was the guest artist at Wanderlust. She showed us how to use different techniques with inks. This isn't the kind of canvas I would normally create, but I enjoyed doing it and learnt in the process. Can't be bad!
Two weeks ago at Wanderlust, Kasia encouraged us to create a canvas using paints and inks and old photos. Here is my canvas, featuring seven of my great-grandparents. Unfortunately, I do not have a picture of one of my great-grandmothers. I haven't quite decided if the canvas is completed, which probably means it isn't, but it is complete enough to show here. Let me know what you think ...
I am a self-taught mixed media artist. I discovered my creative side a few years ago when I started card-making. This led me to an increasing interest in the realms of mixed media, and I have loved discovering collage, metal work, journalling, altered art and digital collage.
I am overwhelmed by all the visitors to my blog and want to thank everyone, especially my followers, for your ongoing interest.
An especial 'thank you' to all my followers and those of you that visit and take time to leave comments. It is great to know that people drop by, enjoy what they see and, hopefully, find some inspiration, just as I do when visiting the blogs of others.
